What is she doing these days?
Fair question.
Sometimes I wonder myself. ;-p
Here’s a little update from the messy headquarters of Studio Bloknote, where the coffee is black and strong and ideas (read: Marieke) never sleep.
So, what am I up to right now?
- My YouTube channel is alive and kicking again. Two series (The art of Raw and the Raw and Messy Sessions) two videos a week. Real art, real talk. I am so proud that I am doing this again.
- I’m secretly working on a bunch of print-on-demand collections. They’re not ready to launch (yet), but stay tuned. I can’t share much for now, except this: it’s going to be a line for soft rebels and wild-hearted people. Full of symbols, rage, and love.
- I’m writing, painting, filming, doodling, and dreaming my way through the chaos.
TLDR: I’ve been busy.
- My first (mini) e-course is on the way: Notes to Self. Launching June 1st, if all goes well and Mercury behaves.
- My monthly newsletter Raw Expressions is now a thing! It lands in inboxes every once in a few weeks, filled with tips, inspiration and creative energy. (I sent the very first one today. That counts, right?)
- Meanwhile, behind the scenes, I’m quietly (okay, not that quietly) building an art empire. 8-p One that’s raw, real, and deeply human.
- I have made this free pdf called Raw Marks to celebrate my come back. You can download it here.
- I am a proud guest teacher at Tamara Laporte’s Mastering Mixed Media Expo this month!

- I also got this vintage ‘Remington 2000’ working again. To type that Punk Poetry for in my art journals.
So no, I’m not sitting still. And no, I don’t have a five-year plan that fits in a spreadsheet.
But I do have a mission: to show that art can change something. In your head. In your heart. In the world.
Messy May: Messy floor, messy desk, messy hair! (Also: No make-up, lol!)

Whether you’ve been following me for years or just stumbled upon studiobloknote.com – welcome.
I’m Marieke. I’m not perfect, but I’m real. And I make stuff that matters. (At least… I hope it does.)
Love,
Marieke

Stick around. There’s more to come.
