You do not need to go shopping before you start this course. You do not need a special journal, loads of new pens or anything with the word “artisan” on the label. A pen and some paper is genuinely enough to do most of what we do here.
I know, I know. “Anything will do” is the kind of advice that sounds freeing and feels useless. So in this video, I’ll show you what I personally actually use and why, without turning it into a shopping list.
If you already have a drawer full of art supplies, great. If you have a ballpoint pen and the back of an envelope, also great. We’re starting from wherever you are.
